NetApp extends its product portfolio by intoducing NetApp FAS2240 in its exisiting product family.  Newer FAS2240 focuses on Midsized Enterprises (MSE), remote or branch offices (ROBO), and departments of large enterprises and is ideal for organizations needing both capacity with performance.

It provides support for storage networking protocols including FC SAN, IP SAN and  NAS - both CIFS and NFS. With the max disk drives extending to 144, its provides the raw capcity upto 432TB. The big benefits for the product comes with 10Gb Ethernet support and the 8Gb Fibre Channel support.
